Dr. Sketchy’s with Maria Bella on Monday, Feb 9th!

Next Monday, Dr. Sketchy’s Baltimore will have another fabulous session featuring the beautiful Maria Bella! Join us at Dionysus on the 9th at 7 p.m. for more drinking, drawing, and crazy contests–and we’ll be giving away more awesome prizes from our generous sponsors, Atomic Books and Artist & Craftsman Supply.

And a HUGE thanks to the talented JimmyC of Luminous Impression for letting us use his gorgeous photo of Maria Bella for the flyer.

Special thanks to Lucille Lingerhans von Spankenstein for being our delightful muse at our last session! We’ll have a recap blog shortly, but in the mean time, we’ve posted some of your sketches of Lucille below, so check it out.

And Maria, Lucille, and the rest of Gilded Lily Burlesque (most of whom have modeled for us in the past and/or will model for us in future sessions), as well as one of our favorite models, Nicolette le Faye, will be performing this Saturday at the Pinups for Pitbulls Fundraiser at Angels Rock Bar (10 Market Place). Doors open at 9 pm, and the show starts at 10. We’ve been to a few performances featuring members of Gilded Lily now, and seriously, they’ve all been awesome–Little Luna’s Rosie the Robot costume was fun enough to draw, but the actual act is hilarious. Viola Van Wilde’s session on Nov. 24 was one of our best yet, though frankly, the photos alone should tell you that. 🙂  Special thanks to Viola Van Wilde of Gilded Lily for giving us some absolutely stunning poses and costumes to draw, and who without, we’d have been drawing that red couch.

If you missed the 24th, don’t cry…..well, maybe you honestly should a little, Viola had a NUN HABIT…..you really can’t top that……BUT, if you missed the 24th, our last session of 2008 is tonight,  Dec 8, at 7:00 with TWO models, La Malicia Pajarita and Paco Fish.  You should probably cry if you miss that one too.

Recap of the Halloween Dr. Sketchy’s with Nicolette le Faye!

October 27th’s Halloween session went great….free candy for all (apparently nobody likes Whoppers either, there’s a giant bag of the things sitting on the table in front of me as I type, and no matter how many I eat it never seems to get any smaller…..the Reese’s Cups lasted to maybe the third one-minute pose), Halloween themed contests with prizes from Atomic Books, and a copious amount of alcohol consumed.

Special thanks to Nicolette le Faye, who was amazing (as you can see), Jeff for photos, Bill for keeping the door running smooth, the Dionysus staff for getting us drunk, and Lynn of course for letting us use the dining room in the first place.
