Dr. Sketchy’s Baltimore with Bebe Bardot Wednesday, March 18 at Creative Alliance (Postponed)

(Please note: To help slow the spread of the coronavirus, our March 18 session with Bebe Bardot has been postponed indefinitely. We’re really bummed about this and miss seeing all of your lovely faces and drawings for at least another month, but we hope to draw Bebe with you all sometime in the near future at Creative Alliance, once it’s safe to do so.

If you bought a ticket and have not yet received a refund, please contact Creative Alliance; more information about the cancellation of their events and other CA updates can be found here.

Be sure to follow us on Facebook and/or Instagram for immediate Sketchy’s updates, and please stay safe and be well!)

Join us at Creative Alliance for our monthly night of drinks and drawing, featuring Bebe Bardot, the Doll of Washington, D.C.! Enjoy a delicious cocktail or two while competing in our off-the-wall drawing contests for awesome prizes from Blick Art Materials—no drawing experience is necessary, but bring your own art supplies, and cash tips for Bebe!

Here’s more about our March model:

“Standing at a statuesque 4’11, Bebe Bardot is the award-winning Doll of Washington, D.C.! This petite powerhouse is an international burlesque performer, pinup model, and professional rollergirl who proves that big things can come in small packages. Bebe is a member of the House of Knyle, trained by contemporary burlesque superstar Egypt Blaque Knyle. She was awarded the 2019 Golden Smile Award at the Golden Legends Champion Challenge, competed in the 2018 Burlypicks World Championship after taking home the top prize in the D.C. regionals, and was nominated for the New York Burlesque Festival’s 2018 Hottest Freshman Golden Pastie Award. A vintage glamour girl at heart, Bebe has been featured in several pinup magazines including Retro Lovely, Delicious Dolls, and Pinup Life. Bebe is the shake dancer of your wildest dreams. She’s been wowing audiences all across the world, and you’re up next!”

A few things to know about our move!

As Creative Alliance will be handling our ticket sales through their website and box office, a service fee will be applied to transactions made online or over the phone and in-person ticket sales made within three hours of the event. You can avoid this fee by purchasing tickets in person at Creative Alliance the day before or earlier (they’re open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.). Creative Alliance members save on admission (as they do on the variety of other events CA has, including their Saturday morning life drawing), so if you look through their calendar and like what you see, consider becoming a CA member!

Lastly, if you’ve found yourself in a back row at past Sketchy’s sessions, unable to see the model from the waist-down without having to stand, take note: Creative Alliance’s theater is huge, has a slightly higher stage than the Windup’s, and there are no columns or giant speakers between you and the model, so we expect everyone should have a head-to-toe view of the model! You’re also more likely to be able to get a seat at a table. We still encourage you to arrive early for the best seats, and Creative Alliance advises that seats are only held for ticket buyers for 25 minutes after an event starts.
