Dr. Sketchy’s Baltimore featuring Eva Mystique
Wednesday, Sept. 18 at Creative Alliance

After a little summer hiatus, the liveliest life drawing event in Baltimore is moving to Creative Alliance! Come draw the amazing Eva Mystique at Dr. Sketchy’s while enjoying delicious cocktails, and compete in fun contests to win prizes from Blick Art Materials. Eva will treat you to a mid-session performance, too! As always, no drawing experience is necessary; just bring your own drawing materials (and cash tips for our model!) and join us for some fun figure sketching practice!

Here’s a little bit about Eva:

“Two parts spellbinding one part vixen, Eva Mystique is the bruja of your wet dreams. Eva is a nationally-known burlesque performer, having toured dozens of cities including Las Vegas, New Orleans, NYC, Dallas, Atlanta, San Diego, St. Louis and more. She’ll get you all hot and bothered with her fire dancing, and can blow your mind with a hula hoop. Eva prides herself on fusing classic belly dance, tease, twerk and flexible floor work—rendering devastatingly beautiful numbers that embody all that is feminine and magical. She oozes sensuality from every pore and beckons you with just a glance; it’s only a matter of time before she casts her spell on you. Be careful… Eva Mystique is the witch that cannot be burned.”

Enjoy delicious drinks from our cocktail menu and join in our crazy contests to win awesome prizes from Blick Art Materials! Like our Facebook page and follow us on Instagram for the latest updates!

A few things to know about our move!

Outside of a couple of special events, this will be our first session outside the Windup Space in a decade! We’re looking at this event as a “soft opening” or “dry run” of sorts, so there might be a couple of hiccups while we get situated at Creative Alliance. Also, there will be no October session as we’ll be taking a month off to hang out with the new baby we’re expecting in a few weeks, but if all goes well, we’ll be back in November.

Also, Creative Alliance will be handling our ticket sales through their website and box office. Unfortunately, this means that a service fee will be applied to online transactions and in-person ticket sales made within three hours of the event. You can avoid this fee by purchasing tickets in person at Creative Alliance the day before or earlier (they’re open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.). Creative Alliance members save on admission (as they do on the variety of other events CA has, including their Saturday morning life drawing and next month’s Rocky Horror Picture Show with past Sketchy’s model Betty O’Hellno), so if you look through their calendar and like what you see, consider becoming a CA member!, so if you look through their calendar and like what you see, consider becoming a CA member!

Lastly, if you’ve found yourself in a back row at past Sketchy’s sessions, unable to see the model from the waist-down without having to stand, take note: Creative Alliance’s theater is huge, has a slightly higher stage than the Windup’s, and there are no columns or giant speakers between you and the model, so we expect everyone should have a head-to-toe view of Eva Mystique! We still encourage you to arrive early for the best seats, and Creative Alliance advises that seats are only held for ticket buyers for 25 minutes after an event starts.
