Next session: Thursday, March 16 with Delilah Dentata and Jim Dandy at Creative Alliance

What is Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Art School: Baltimore?

Dr. Sketchy’s is a fun cocktail of drawing, drinks, and dazzling performers. Started by artist Molly Crabapple in 2005, Dr. Sketchy’s is based on Molly’s harebrained dream of a “decadent” art class with fair pay and respect for the models and boozy fun for all, and has branches in over a hundred cities around the globe. Alexis de la Rosa and Aaron Bush brought Sketchy’s to Charm City in 2008.

Whether you’re an art star or a scribbling newbie, Dr. Sketchy’s is the perfect place to get your fill of life drawing—join us at Creative Alliance, located at 3134 Eastern Avenue in Baltimore’s Highlandtown Arts District!

Seating is first come, first serve. Come early; doors open at 6:30 pm, and drawing starts at 7. Admission is $14 in advance ($12 for Creative Alliance members). Creative Alliance charges a $3 service fee for transactions made online, over the phone, or at the door; avoid the fee by purchasing in person in advance at their box office.

Remember to bring your art materials (no paints, please) and cash tips for the models.

Also, in case you see ads for Fox News, or some other jerky content below this sentence: we don’t have anything to do with that crap.
