Photos from Dec 8th with La Malicia Pajarita and Paco Fish!

Dec 8th’s session was EASILY one of the best yet.  If you missed it, well, I just don’t know what to tell you.  La Malicia Pajarita and Paco’s performance was so good, I’m just going to give into the impulse and put up almost every single photo we took.  Why should be obvious as you start to go through.

As usual, the first set of poses were the 1- and 2-minute poses…

Next were the 5- and 10-minute poses, which were easily the crowd’s favorite.  La Malicia and Paco really did do an amazing job….everyone was laughing so hard I’m not sure if anyone got any drawing done or not.

Easily the funniest set of poses I’ve seen yet.  I wasn’t even drunk (yet) either.

After that, it was contest time…..the first contest being the habitual (or at least so far) draw with your off-hand with the winners, who are obviously too sober, being forced to correct that mistake.

Special thanks to Atomic Books, who kindly donated a gift card for the next contest…if you don’t know where they are yet, one, I’m going to assume you just moved to Baltimore, two, it’s on Falls Rd. just off the Avenue in Hampden.  We’re going to have even more sponsors in 2009 btw, it sounds like.

In any case, then it was time for more poses.

We can not thank La Malicia Pajarita and Paco Fish enough for what is easily one of the best sessions we’ve had yet.  Also, thank you to Dionysus for letting us drop pencil shavings everywhere (Oh, and if you didn’t know, your bartender Andrew had his 30th birthday the very next night and got to break open a pinata in the bar…he hates anyone mentioning his birthday so it only feels appropriate to include something about it here)….what was I talking about?  Oh yes, and thanks to Jeff for photos and Jeff and Bill for helping us scoot furniture around, run the door, and lots and lots of other random things.

Our next session—our first of 2009—will be January 26, Monday, from 7 to 10 o’clock with the glorious Lucille Lingerhans von Spankenstein.   As soon as all this holiday crap is done with, we’ll have some more info up with the flyer and all that stuff.  In any case, have a good holiday (Notice that?  Yeah, that’s right, we are all up on that whole War On Christmas stuff.  Yep, that’s right, I said it.) and we’ll see you in January.

Recap of the Halloween Dr. Sketchy’s with Nicolette le Faye!

October 27th’s Halloween session went great….free candy for all (apparently nobody likes Whoppers either, there’s a giant bag of the things sitting on the table in front of me as I type, and no matter how many I eat it never seems to get any smaller…..the Reese’s Cups lasted to maybe the third one-minute pose), Halloween themed contests with prizes from Atomic Books, and a copious amount of alcohol consumed.

Special thanks to Nicolette le Faye, who was amazing (as you can see), Jeff for photos, Bill for keeping the door running smooth, the Dionysus staff for getting us drunk, and Lynn of course for letting us use the dining room in the first place.

Photos from Oct 13th, Sable Sin Cyr!

Last Monday was amazing.  Sable Sin Cyr of Gilded Lily Burlesque was stunning, lots of friendly folks showed up, and I didn’t even fall down once this time.

I’m not joking about the lots of folks by the way.  Look at this.

I ain’t kidding about that whole “come ten minutes early folks.”  It was packed and eventually we had to turn some folks away.  We’re going to remove some more tables this Monday and see if that gives us a little more room…..so be forewarned, tables are first come, first serve.

Anyways, did I say Sable was amazing?

There lots of contests as usual…with prizes of gift cards and Moleskin books provided by Atomic Books (there’s even more stuff on Monday too).

Here’s a photo of the winners of the “Draw with your Off-hand” contest having their celebratory Dirty Girlscouts (it’s a shot).  I censored out their faces, and the guy behind, just in case they want to run for office one day.  That fellow under the yellow arrow….I can tell you right now he ain’t running for anything.  From?  Maybe.  For?  No.

I have no idea what’s going on in the next photo….apparently something was very amusing.  Since I’m not in the shot, I have a sinking suspicion it was me doing something stupid.

For some reason they’d all stopped laughing by the next shot.  Got distracted I suspect.

Special thanks to Sable Sin Cyr, who without, we would have been drawing, well, a big empty yellow couch.   Special thanks to Lynn and Dionysus as well, who without, well, we would have been doing this in the middle of the street and causing no-telling how many fender-benders.   Jeff did an absolutely amazing job with photography, turning in his best set yet, and both Jeff and Bill helped us move all that silly furniture around, which believe me, takes a few minutes. 🙂

Our next session is this coming Monday, Oct 27, 7 – 10 pm at Dionysus, featuring Nicolette le Fay with some Halloween goodness. 🙂
