Dr. Sketchy’s, the cabaret life-drawing event started by Molly Crabapple that’s been a hit from New York to New Zealand, will finally have a Baltimore chapter with its first session to take place in early June. Be the star of the show! We’re looking for burlesque performers, dancers, roller girls, or any other talented and beautiful women with awesome costumes and the ability to hold interesting poses for up to 20 minutes. Dr. Sketchy’s will be held on the 1st or 2nd Sunday of each month at Dionysus Restaurant and Lounge (8 E. Preston St. in Mount Vernon) from 1 pm to 4 pm. We would need to have the model arrive 30 minutes early for each session; in exchange for providing the audience with inspiration during the three-hour session, the model will be paid $75 *plus tips*.
Things to know:
–No nudity will be involved. While we ask that the model pose in an interesting costume that shows the figure, she won’t be able to show more than what a bikini would reveal.
–Blankets and pillows will be provided, but we encourage the model to bring any props that may complement her costume.
–Previous modeling experience is preferred, but not necessary.
–We are looking for models of all shapes, colors, sizes, and types. While we expect that, more often than not, our models will be women, we expect to have sessions including male models in the future.
